Makeup Recs 𐙚𖹭.ᐟ

I've been asked multiple times over the years about my makeup in general, like products I use, makeup tutorial, and general help with gal makeup. To be honest I was never too comfortable with giving any advice even a year ago because I was not sure I had everything figured out myself. I've been gyaru for 5 years now and I'm finally happy with everything I use so I will share that here. The only things I will exclude from this only because I am still trying to figure out what i like is lashes and lenses (which ik are a big part of gyaru makeup but my staple lashes were discontinued so I'm trying to find new ones and lenses will be a separate post) I'll make a tutorial 1 day.... ik I kept saying this for over a year but I promise I will do it 1 day! I just don't know when

Primers: Nyx The Face Glue Gripping Primer for my base and Nyx glitter primer for my eyes when I put glitter shadow

Base: Milani conceal + perfect 2 in 1 Foundation + concealer I personally use 03 and blend with a beauty blender, mine has a cardcaptor sakura theme. I usually do 1 layer of this and 2 if I'm breaking out really bad (in my standards, I never really had bad acne issues but i struggle with pigmentation) Please invest in a foundation! I used to use just concealer and it just didn't look too good in pics and would not last even with powder and setting spray, this is one piece of basic makeup advice i'd give to anybody doing makeup really

contouring: don't mind the state of my contour palette I'm the type of person to use my products till I hit pan if I like it! For bronzer I use Wet n Wild Hula Honey Glow Palette I think this was limited edition back in 2023?? so you probably won't find this exact palette, I mainly use this for bronzer. I have also tried Essence Sun Club matt bronzing powder palette which has more shades and plan to go back to using that once my stitch palette officially hits pan. I use the Nyx Ultimate Multi Finish Shadow Palette for my nose contour! Specifically the shade on the top far left for my "nose strip" i like mine more subtle since I do sweet/ soft styles like agejo, hime, and amekaji. Then I use the shade on the bottom far left as a highlighter on my nose. I will also just use the other shades for eyeshadow on occasion. I also think this palette is discontinued though but Ik that the top far left shade is equivalent to a matt highlighter so look for a k-beauty matt highlighter! Ik Florette has a good one that i plan to get when I hit pan.

Blush: I have other blushes i use as well but in terms of my default "hime" look I use these. LilyByRed Luv Beam Cheek Balm in 02 is a creme blush I started using recently, its very light so I only use it on occasion but its great for hime. Next is GXVE in Flirty Talk Amplifying Duo Blush... I don't really support Gwen as much as she has released good music and cute merch in the early 2000s, but I bought this blush because it felt like the perfect dupe for the Candy Doll blush shade Carrot especially since this is a duo blush. The top shade is more of a highlight and the bottom shade a blush, just like Candy Doll duos. The Last one is Nyx Buttermelt Blush in My Butta Half, my fav blush ever, if it gets discontinued idk what I'm gonna do. Its by far in my opinion the perfect dupe for Strawberry Pink from Candy Doll on the current market. All its missing is the marshmallow purple to layer which brings me to

THISSSSSSI usually put one layer of my nyx blush then put this over, then put more blush on top. This is Makeup For Ever Artist Highlighter in H120 Bouncy Lilac. This is the closest purple toned highlighter I can find on the current market to Marshmallow Purple from Candy Doll. Layering the 2 gives the closest effect to layering the 2 candy doll products that I have tried in my 5 years of gyaru and trust that I looked into this all these years because I was desperate. You don't want to know how many purple blushes and different pinks I've gone through over the years lol

Eyeshadow: I own a few eyeshadow palettes but this is the main one that I use. If you cosplayed in 2020 ik yk EXACTLY what this is. This is the Nyx Ultimate Shadow Palette, which is discontinued... the new one has nothing on this baddie. I also recommend Color Pop eyeshadows as all my other palettes are Color Pop, I used too faced too but tbh their shadows are not my fav. 

Eyebrows: It depends what my hair is like I'll switch between a regular eyebrow pencil, Essence eyebrow designer in brown for hime gyaru looks with my wig. I use color pop liquid eyeliner for when I have my real hair out, I used the red one before but now that I recently went pink I need to look for a pink one. I also use that NYX eyeshadow palette to fill my eyebrows.

Eye makeup: I'll use mascara on occasion to blend my real and fake lashes, I have always used Too Faced Better Than Sex because of the volume and length it gives. Eyeliner I mainly use Nyx Epic Wear liquid eyeliner, I like liquid eyeliner the best but ik its not everyone's cup of tea. I like the control I have with this brush especially under my eyes and in the inner corners, plus I love how pigmented it is. I used to use Heroine Make waterproof eyeliner with ultra fine 0.1mm tip liquid eyeliner, nothing wrong with the formula I just did not like the felt tip. I will also use my nyx epic wear to dot random beauty marks and this Milk Makeup Stamp Tattoo and stamp it by the outer corner of my eye as my main beauty markwhich is now discontinued I believe? I had mine since 2019 and she's still going strong. I see other stamp liners that are basically the same concept though just look for a stamp liner. Beauty marks are not inherently part of gyaru makeup so you can completely skip this step if you want I just feel like it gives something extra and unique to my makeup look so I keep doing it. 

still going with eye makeup! I use this Nyx Ultimate glow shots shimmer liquid eyeshadow in coconut white for my under eyes. I like combining both reiwa and heisei techniques in my looks so this is for that bright reiwa under eye. Ik alot of the reiwa gals in japan use posca..... try NOT to do that, plsI like this because its shimmery and bright, only down side is that it can crack from time to time but nothing reapplying can't fix. Next, I only use this for ya/manba or when I do tsuyome on my nose stripe, LA Colors Pro-conceal HD High Definition in Flat white. Its basically just concealer but in white so it is a very easy formula to work with. I used to use white Athena face paint before I discovered this, nothing wrong with Athena I just find this more convenient. I also use this Morphe Mixed Signals Dual Ended Eyeshadow stick in Flirtatious/ Faithful. Its dual chrome glitter and white cream eyeshadow stick on the other end. I'll use the chrome as an eyeshadow topper on occasion but I mainly use the eyeshadow stick end under my eyes, in my opinion its a better version of that Nyx Jumbo crayon that everyone used at one point.... the one Nyx product I don't like I fear

Eyelash glue.... obviously essential for gal. I'm basic and use Duo brush on glue because it works so well. tweezers... tbh idk why i included them in this but I pluck my eyebrows to clean around the edges. 

Lip makeup: so to prep my lips I'll use one or the other. Laneige lip mask or Beauty Creations Lip Oil. Just to keep my lips soft and not chapped

Lipliners: A discontinued lipliner from MAC and this Essence lip liner in My Way. They are more of a nude color. 

Lipsticks: My 2 most used are these 2 LA Colors that I got from Daiso which are Pink Parfait, a bright bubble gum pink and Pink Frost which is a frosty pink. I also heard good things about Frosted Lilac which looks like a lighter pink frost.

Lip gloss: I have multiple nyx butter glosses, I've been using these since I was in high school I like the colors and formula. I don't use them too often but I would recommend them since they're so cheap... from left to right (as the rest of the pics) Peaches and Cream, Tiramisu, Vanilla Cream 

Pie, Eclair, Merengue.

More lipgloss that I do use more often, the first one is some random off brand one, next 2 are Essence lip plumper Pretty in Pink, Flower Blossom, the HK LipSmackers lipgloss that I mainly use because its kiwi flavored and smell like tajin candy, the last 2 are discontinued MAC glosses I've also had since high school... the pink one was my regular favorite but I no longer use it since I can't replace it. 

More lip colors: a discontinued clinique pink lip stick, Nars lip color orgasm, a discontinued cream lip color, discontinued too faced lip color, and clinique lip color black cherry.

Fragrances: Aside from Bath and Body Works Strawberry Pound Cake and Strawberry Snowflake products I use these scents. Sol de Janeiro 62 mist and bum bum creme, Victoria Secret Tease Sugar Fleur, Ariana Grande Sweet Like Candy, Victoria Secret Bombshell, Nest Balinese Coconut. I recently tried Sabrina Carpenter's Sweet Tooth which is a fav right now, its a very sugary candy scent, probably my favorite of its kind that I've tried because I like the combination of the sugar and musky scents. 

A Mexican Body glitter called Polvo de Hadas. It's very visible in pictures. I don't like the applicator portion but the product itself is great. 

Setting sprays are basically the same formula since the Elf one is a dupe, Urban Decay All Nighter and Elf Stay all Night Micro Fine Setting Mist lasts 24 hours... what a long name jeez......anyways my makeup does not budge all day from morning to midnight at cons, raves, a day out in the LA sun, and the beach.

OMG This took way longer than expected to writeI want everyone to know after taking these pics for this blog post my foldable mirror that I take literally everywhere brokefuck my chungus life..... I need a new one now I guess but I really liked how I decorated this one.
